It hurts to feel so insecure
To feel like you are never good enough
So I dedicate this poem to reassure
That you are beautiful, independent and tough
You don’t need people telling you who you are
Or how to live your life
You have already made it this far
Steering your own life with your own car
You are a unique, imperfect you
I mean, who cares about the world’s view?!
You are the future change in the world you see
Your own perception is what will set you free
If you see yourself as a failure isn’t that what you would be?
I mean, you’ve gotta agree
Positive thinking is your remedy!
Stand up tall with your chin held high
You are a unique, imperfect you; you can’t deny
So kiss all your insecurities good-bye
And just spread your wings and fly…
