A Tiny Star

By Badria Hajjar

I look at the sky and relate my love to you
For I am like a tiny star in space with a faded hue
I hang in my dark gloomy world with no light but mine
But then you come along, a great moon with a great shine
We have never met sadly that is true
We live in the same world but both with a different view
You are probably important among people and favored among all
And I am nobody, an unpopular and just a tiny star
You most likely can’t see me because I’m too minute to view
But do you know how many people wish on me? Oh if you only knew
I look at the sky and relate my love to you
For I have become a star who has lost her own hue
I hang in my dark gloomy world alone

Patiently waiting for God’s written unknown
